Junior Division of the Golden Rose Queen of Ireland LAOH Mahoning County, Ohio

The Juniors presented great Christmas Shows and brought home made cookies to residents at 2 Nursing Homes.

Juniors performed at Assumption Village at 12 noon for residents.  They sang all the favorite Christmas Songs followed by an exceptional enjoyable treat by Juniors - students of the Theresa Burke School of Irish Dance.

The Junior Golden Rose Queen of Ireland LAOH Division 6 of Mahoning County, Ohio are pictured in the Vestibule of St. Columba CathedralFather John Keehner found, and had restored, a full size statue of St. Brigid of Ireland.The plaque is dedicated in the memory of Bessie Spangle, a life member of the LAOH who before she died expressed a wish that the Cathedral would one day have a statue of St. Brigid.8/10

Mahoning County, OH Juniors Relay for Life Team
Lauren Kepley, President of the Golden Rose Queen of Ireland Junior Division for 8 years, qualified for the Theresa Burke School of Youngstown, Ohio to compete at the Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne, the 40th annual World Championships of Irish Dance in Glasgow, Scotland. Miss Kepley is pictured on the stage of the Royal Concert Hall during her "Recall Round" dancing her set piece.

Division 7 East Islip Our Lady of Knock Suffolk County, NYS Jr Girls May Crowning
The Jr Girls, under the direction of Charlene Gibbs, ran a Spaghetti Dinner on May 15th, 2009. The money raised is donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. After the dinner, the girls hit the dance floor and learned some new Irish dances. A great time was had by all!
